I bring 24 years experience as a Chemical Dependency Counselor and Board Certified Family Interventionist to my clients. My interest began after my family and friends conducted a life saving intervention on me. My own personal experience with family intervention began my journey of sobriety and led me to pursue a career in chemical dependency counseling and intervention.

I have been a Nationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and Family Systemic Interventionist since 1985. I have worked in that capacity at treatment centers such as Marworth in Waverly Pennsylvania, The Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage California and Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach California. I also conduct private practice in Newport Beach California since 1995, specializing in individual and family counseling for relapse prevention.

During these past years I have been a part of many interventions throughout the United States and South America. I work closely today with many different types of treatment centers throughout the United States.

I believe very strongly in an approach that comes from Love and respect, not force. We are not a random group of interventionists scattered throughout the United States. Our approach will be individualized. You will work with either Joann or myself from start to finish not a treatment team that is dependant on a convienant work schedule. We are not associated with any treatment center in any way. Our referrals are based on one thing only and that is meeting the needs of your patient emotionally and medically. I do not recieve a comission from the treatment center that your patient enters.

Thank you for allowing us to guide you into life saving recovery as some one did for me almost 23 years ago. I knew almost immediately that working in the field of addiction treatment would be my lifes work. We are committed as a team to educate inspire and celebrate a life of recovery.

Our intervention process will give you and your family the best possible opportunity at treatment and recovery.

Jo Ann Manzone, M.A.

I bring over 25 years experience in the chemical dependency and health and fitness field to my clients. Having earned both my undergraduate degree in psychology and my graduate degree in behavioral sciences from Kean College, my strong educational background prepared the groundwork for a life long passion and career that would focus on both alcohol and drug treatment and women’s fitness and well-being.

Early in my career I worked with battered women and a women’s shelter program. Shortly afterward I began working in the addiction field, focusing on alcohol and drug addiction. My training and experience began in New York and Rhode Island where I worked as a chemical dependency counselor in outpatient clinics. In 1990, I accepted a position at The Betty Ford Center where I became more aware of the connection between physical, mental and spiritual well-being. It was after many years at Betty Ford that I decided to begin a career more focused on developing a “life balance approach” to wellness.

Today, I continue to work in the recovery field by providing consulting and intervention services to families in the area of addictive and compulsive behaviors and am trained in Family Systemic Interventions. I also have a private practice in Dana Point, California, specializing in Women’s health and well-being.

Thank you for allowing us to guide you into lifesaving recovery. We are committed as a team to educate inspire and celebrate a life of recovery and emotional spiritual and physical well-being.
