Disorder of Addiction

We know that compulsive activity and depression, whether it involves using a substance or not, creates a loss of clarity and of awareness of what it has taken from the patient and their family. Denial, minimizing and rationalizing these costs go hand in hand.

The addict believes that surviving in their life without the chemical or compulsive behavior would be unimaginable.

We know that this illness left untreated will create a cycle that could be passed on to future generations, will continue to escalate and is potentially life threatening.
